Billy Gilmour produces Man of the match midfield masterclass as Chelsea beat Liverpool

Chelsea secured their passage into the FA Cup quarter-final as they beat Liverpool 2-0 in an enthralling tie at Stamford Bridge.
Willian and Ross Barkley scored in each half on Tuesday night, as they inflicted back-to-back defeats on Jurgen Klopp's side - who failed to bounce back from their first Premier League defeat of the season at Watford on Saturday.

The Scotland youngster Billy Gilmour  stole the show to get his side to the last eight of the FA Cup. It was one of those games that will signpost his talent to the watching football world, producing the goods on the big stage against the team recently crowned the best on the continent. Fabinho, Adam Lallana and Curtis Jones fought against him in midfield but Gilmour not only held his own but won the battle.
They witnessed up close his incredible passing range, ability to move around the pitch and his defensive abilities. The latter shouldn't be underestimated despite his small frame which rarely limits his ability to mix it physically.

Billy Gilmour was sensational and will have given Lampard real food for thought as he turns his attention to their Premier League clash with Everton on Sunday, but Ross Barkley was also in a superb to, he had one of those evenings where he looked the class player he could and should be with more consistency, and took his goal superbly. Both teams will hoping for three points this weekend.
